This soap is unapologetically vintage, back to one of the very original ingredients for making soap- tallow (beef fat).
Tallow makes a very gentle, hard soap which is particularly good for skin.
My tallow is locally sourced, straight from the butcher in an arrangement where he gets me the best soap making fat in exchange for a few bars of the finished product. I think using a product that would otherwise be thrown out aligns nicely with our values of sustainability. The tallow is thrice rendered by me to make sure no "beef" smell remains in the final product.
Castor oil is added to stabilise the bubbles, coconut oil is important as tallow doesn't product lots of bubbles by itself and local honey also brings some sugar for extra bubbles and skin nourishment.
Palm Oil Free, definitely not vegan

Coconut Oil- bubbles, bubbles, BUBBLES! Coconut is essential for a nice bubbly lather and is a great cleanser for skin.
Castor Oil- another bubble builder for great lather
